Dr. Major received the Scientific Impact Award alongside Jennifer Crocker for their article "Social Stigma and self-esteem: The Self-protective properties of stigma."
Dr. Major is awarded the 2014 Heritage Award from the Foundation for Personality and Social Psychology for major contributions to the field of Social Psychology.
