Dr. Brenda Major Receives Three Simultaneous Grants for Research

Dr. Major received three major grants in the year 2000 for her work. One of the grants was awarded by the National Science Foundation for the sum of over $500,000, allowing Dr. Major to continue her research on stigma and intergroup coping with threat. The other two grants were awarded to Dr. Major to write a book during sabbatical about the mental repercussions and implications of abortion. These two grants were awarded by the American Philosophical Society and the James McKeen Cattell Fund.
